Get it removed at an auto AC shop, they will plug the lines so nothing contaminates the system, anything else is illegal and not good for the environment. This stuff is not so bad as the old stuff but ...
When you go back to the shop they can refill it like it should be done. With a new compressor you need it filled just right.
