To work the IR gun needs to be looking at a dark object, metal gives the wrong readings. Emissivity errors.
I did a write-up on this, using a long wire tie.
I also found that if you overfilled the tranny with fluid, the excess will be PUMPED overboard. The tranny will froth the excess and push it out of the vent.
I did the measurment thing and found that it was more MISS than HIT. This is how the overflow pumping was found out.
