So sorry to hear of this Tony. This past memorial Day was the day for my buddy of 13 years too, Cider. It really hurts of course, and you'll always remember that dog. Within 2 weeks I picked up a 9 year old Collie from a shelter because I was missing his presence so much. That was a really good thing for both me and the dog. She needed a good home to finish out her life and I needed a buddy again. Not the same dog by any means, but her beginning to trust me and seeing her change has really helped me let Cider go to chase bunnies in a place where he'll probably be able to catch them!
