Erzer: First let me say, your initial status post was great! Really got my juices flowing to start our trek towards Fontana Village. Keep the updates coming!

I really think he was just thinking I was going fast because my XF is Red and knows it is the fastest color...plus he heard my exhaust.

So there you go, they seem to be keeping up the speeding tickets, so be careful!
Consider yourself lucky! Normally in SC, and probably sister state NC, 15 over the posted speed limit would get your license jerked for 30 days - 1st offense! Now I know that LEO normally gives the car clubs/groups alot of leeway when it comes to the posted speed limits along The Dragon. After all, The Dragon is why nearly every car club/group comes to that part of the country. But when you start pushing 15+ over the speed limit, LEO can get real ugly in a hurry. One car - driver gets a warning. 80 cars - LEO could take the position that we're driving recklessly! Would LEO write 80 tickets? I can't possibly imagine that ! But LEO might try! (I've been pulled over in a group of 12 Merkur XR4Ti's on I-81N in VA headed to Carlisle back in my previous life. And that highway was straight and had hardly any traffic! What was the big deal!)

I like enjoying the capabilities of the XFire as much as anyone else. But our weekend GTG is approaching numbers we've never seen before. And that could pose some problems in and by itself. I'm bettin' there hasn't been any group of 'motor-heads', cars or motorcycles, with 80 strong gathered for a Dragon Run. We could end up making headlines in local news media. So let's make sure the headlines are the right kind. Everyone be safe, drive carefully coming, during, & going next weekend. We may never see this many XFires in one place ever again!

Gary: We're going to need a bigger dam!!!!!
