So I went ahead and bought the crank position sensor myself from NAPA for about $125 and installed it myself (20 minute proceedure my butt). Hopefully this fixed it, and hopefully it doesn't happen later in the week when I need to take the construction riddled highway to school.
Do you have any tips on the replacement process? I looked at mine, and there's a heat shield near the sensor that makes it difficult to reach, or even see the mounting bolt. My guess is that it would take a long extension to get down there. Did you have to take the heat shield off?
