Default Re: Project Crossfire - a Rotrex Supercharged Limited!

I have something really weird going on. I'm not making anywhere near the boost I should be making for the pulley size I have on the rotrex.

Yesterday, I ended up taking off all of my intake plumbing and putting just a filter on to get that run in with a pulley that should be making 15 psi or so. Today, I came home suspecting belt slip, so I worked on my dual pulley to improve grip, which I did significantly and boost did not change one single bit.

I have pressure tested the IM several times with 17 psi and no leaks. It is like I have a boost leak only at speed. Maybe something to do with the intake runner butterfly valve system?? It is like a circuit opens up, and once it is open it bleeds off air, but the rotrex puts out so much that it can still make something, just not what is supposed to make.

I already found the same with the EGR, so maybe another system on the car does the same thing.

Something to investigate for sure...
