Default Re: Electric Seat Doesn't Work Unless Door is Open!

Not to sound like a jerk because I really feel your pain! But that is why I preferred the base coupe when I bought my car. I wanted cloth because my experience with leather is that it cracks in TX heat. Cloth just seems to last longer if taken care of properly (which I do). I also didn't want electric seats for the exact same reason you are describing. Just another expensive electronic thing to fail. Plus I wanted a black exterior anyway so the base coupe was a better fit for me.

The more electronic gadgets on cars, the more likely to break! Nothing beats doing it the old fashion way. It is not worth the trouble so I would rather just lift a lever than push a button.
