Thanks for any information that you can share. Dealerships in the US have told me that only Canadian Tire can make the change to the DRL and Canadian Tire says they need to replace a switch module for about $250. No one can tell me about the possiblity of changing the mileage display or temp display to metric. Not a critical item, but it would be useful to know.

Thanks in advance!
The best way to get the DTRL's is to replace the switch, this seems to be the favorite method if you can get one. It appears that there is no actual law that says you need the DTRL's, there is a rule that says Canadian cars have to have them on to get licensed. So borrow a switch for the Canadian tire test and give it back when you have passed.
I would think that the mileage and temperature may be changed at a dealer using the computer gizmo.
There are many articles on this site that concern the importation of cars. Use the search feature to show your willing, report back and help will come freely.
