This is not totally true....you may get a flashing light and a beep or one or the other if the top is malfunctioning in general. Check the partition placement make sure it is the slot correctly. You can put a piece of Velcro on the partition rod and at the back of the slot where it fits into, this will make sure that the partition is always secure in the proper position. This is what I did and it ended all of my top issues that where not mechanical in nature. The partition is extremely finnicky in these cars and the slightest bump or vibration will move them out of place.
