Akebono ceramic brake pads. Got mine for under $70 for the pair (fronts only). Never did ceramic before, but love them now. Going to switch my Grand Cherokee to those soon. No brake dust, no squeaking, no dirty rims. The rims look like they came out of the car wash every day.

I can't tell you how these do in the long run because I've only had mine a relatively short time (3 months). I also don't know whether they will warp my rotors or wear them down prematurely. I drive in a very hot climate that averages above 95 degrees F year round, but I do highway miles mostly. So far so good. I did however read plenty of reviews about these pads and they came out way above average in performance, longevity, and durability, so I went that route (plus it took me a few good days of reading and comparing before coming to this decision).
