I read this thread 1.5 yrs ago and did the mod back then. Great DIY instructions but I don't know if my own ear drums are blown because the bass still booms in my ride. I used 200 microfarad caps, but still drop my bass settings to -4 or -5 for it to be acceptable. Not too sure about this yet...
