Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I figured he had to be there for a reason since it was zip tied to the wiring harness with factory zip ties. Until I spotted the hose I found myself wondering about the wisdom of packing important alectronics next to a heat generating amp, them sandwiching the whole thing between layers of insulation on the car's firewall!
