I normally do not purchase extended warranties, but since this was a "first year" model it made sense to me.

I bought the 7/70 extended warranty with $100.00 deductible that starts after the basic 3/36 warranty has expired. It covers the major items, except tires, brakes, wipers, and fluids. You are also supposed to get a free rental car while repairs are being done, up to $30.00 per day.

I pulled the bill of sale to check the price. It was $1,290.00, when purchased at the time of sale of the car.

There was never any mention of any other plan to me about oil changes or any other deductible amounts.

I also plan to keep this car at least 7 years, so I think it is a good deal.
