Mark, you can use a local bank to finance a car purchased out of state. I purchased mine from a private seller in Illinois, and had no problem. Any bank that does car loans will now how to handle the transaction. You could always call Suntrust... I am sure they would be happy to handle your purchase since you already have your current car financed with them.
