If the corrosion warranty wont cover it, the dealers have quoted me around £1500 for a new tailgate and to have it fitted and painted. I wondered if anybody else had encountered this problem and what avice they might have? I realise I may just have to 'bite the bullet' on this one but would like to explore other avenues first. is the corrosion around the tailgate release handle as i had the same problem check out your handbook for corrosion warranty i took mine to the dealers in Liverpool and they replaced the tailgate as this is a common problem let me know how you get on....were abouts in the northwest are you..
