I'm with Pat on this one,

I know your not having a go at Pat directly, but Koltzy you've gotta understand how it all really work's. Just by checking out this forum I have seen a huge difference in how car's are sold in the USA compared to the UK & you would be shocked.

We all have a job to do - some of us better or worse than others but alot of it comes down to personality & trust, salesman worldwide are alway's considered of being the 'Shark's of the showroom' - ready to do anything to make the next sale, but when you see it from our side you can see how under hand the retail public can be to deal with, we have to be prepared to answer your questions quickly & close that sale.

I've been with a DCUK dealer for 10 years, and I will confess that the first 5 to 6 years have been great, now - the sales targets have got bigger and the margins have got smaller & we have a small fraction of the choice of cars compared to the USA.

If you guy's where making $5000 per car, by my reckoning you can all afford to take 6 months off sking in Aspen - with butler & maid service thrown in. I've heard true or not, a 5 star dealer is generally selling in one year what the UK sell's in a year which is approx 18000 units.

Pat - any comment ?

Koltzy - One last thing to ask you. When you go into Walmart to do your food shopping, do you ask for a discount ?, think about it - your'e in their once or twice for stuff, you should be entitled to it.

Think about Pat, me the Chrysler/Jeep salesmen & women worldwide see their average customer every 2 to 3 years !!!!!!!!!!!
