An old trick.....dim your instrument/console lamps from 100% brightness to say around 90% and you'll never have to replace a bulb again.

This was told to me many years ago when complaining of bulbs going out all the time on a family sedan. I dimmed the lamps and never replaced the bulbs for the following 12+ yrs we owned the car....
