Re: 1/4 Between Root & Askins
Do you remember the reasons why, I didn't have the numbers for you right when you requested them.
1 I tried to use a G Tech, found that I had a faulty cigarette lighter, so the numbers that were coming out of that were NG.
2. Getting on to a Dyno, isn't the cheapest thing in the world. I'm not an independently wealthy man. On top of that after getting on the Dyno. I moved and all my info on the car some how ended up going into storage.
3. The reason why I wouldn't go to a track. The closest track to me is at an elevation of about 5500. Now coming from about 1700, the numbers would actually reflect the cars new found performance.
So it's not as easy to get those things as you think. Another side note. I have since been offered to use dyno's by a couple different people when ever I want. I have taken them both up on the offers. What I found was exactly what I was worried about to start. Depending on the calibration of the Dyno, it can put out what ever number you want to see. On one Dyno I put out numbers that said, that I gained 25 Hp and 15 FT LBS, and on the other I was in the same ball park as my very first Dyno Session. Gains of about 12-15 HP, and about 9-12 Ft LBS.
I trust my first Dyno Run's, only because I was getting to use a very well known Performance Specialist for Ford's Dyno as a favor. His Equipment that he uses, is the best that you can buy.
This isn't my full time job, I also put in 14 hour days working in the Motion Picture Business. It's only recently that it is developing into a possibility for it to become a full-time deal.
