Having said that, Vivid Racing is wrapping a F-430 in the faux carbon... Should look nice when done. If nothing else, it'll protect the factory paint.
Will it actually protect the paint, or potentially cause damage if you eventually decided to remove it? And, I would assume that the vinyl will actually fade a bit over time, so if a car is completely wrapped, and you dent a fender, it would probably be hard to match vinyl to that one panel to match the rest of the car. Not to mention deviations of color/sheen between lot numbers.
