damn...I would be peeved to no end....warranty is sometimes a tricky thing...if it is an extended warranty, it is probably transferable, if it's the factory warranty, it is probably not any good...but, for kicks and giggles, I would say it is an extended warranty, and this guy damn well better sign the paper....and if it is stuck in 3rd gear, this is the first time I have heard of this problem...but, yes, hopefully in the module...wire broken, board cracked...who knows....but the warranty should cover it...I am sure the code it has thrown would be for the transmission problem...any Auto Zone, of similar store would pull the code for free...the dealer will charge you 1 hour labor to do the 5 minute code reader....someone has to pay their light bill...good luck and let us know what the code was...but don't sweat it, it is something fixable...module, wire, whatever...and shouldn't be expensive if the warranty is any good at all...a deductable is all...
