I'm no help with the warranty transfer, but worst case if it doesn't work out, go find a reputable shop that specializes in MB, BMW, etc to take a look at it. A chrysler dealership will just charge you an arm and a leg to replace everything they "think" is wrong with it....without actually fixing it of course.
