Default Re: ARE Body Control Modules the same?

Did yiou ever get an anwer on this? If not, I can tell you that they are indeed different. I found out after replacing the BCM from my SRT-6 with a BCM from a conventional XFire.
I bought the BCM online from a parts guy - Chrysler price was stupid, and they would not guarantee the part. Installation of second BCM fixed the original problem - passenger window stopped working - but a new problem cropped up. At 80 mph, car now started to chirp. Why, because the BCM was looking for a signal from the retractable spoiler that it had been raised. Since there was no spoiler feedback to the BCM, i now hear CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP above 80 mph. Sort of spoils the driving experience on the freeway.

The only way to fix this issue may be to have the BCM reprogrammed at the Crhysler dealer with SRT6 codes using a TekII device. Unless someone out there has one, and is willing to give this a whirl.
