I was able to talk to our Manley dealer rap @ SEMA about internals for the M112. He said based off of his experience and the info I gave him on the motor it should be more than sufficient for most applications. However if you're like me and want that extra margin of safety or you're just going crazy with the power goal, they can make it happen.
He said if I can get 5-6 seriously interested parties then making the initial custom parts (they would become an order as needed item afterwards, very similar to the way Wavetrac does it).
I know where a rod/piston sample is so that's easy.
The rods would be their Turbo Tuff rods, which can take anything you can imagine. The pistons would be available in pretty much any compression ratio you would like, as well as dome/skirt coatings and any gas port configuration you would like.
I have run Manley in many of my builds. Quality is second to none, all of their parts are designed and produced in house here in the good ol' us of a. And they stand behind their product all the way.
We didn't discuss cost, as I didn't want to waste his time at the show but rest assured it would not be overly expensive, only a few dollars more than their standard 6 piston offerings.
If you have any questions, comments, input etc please feel free to post. While I may not have a crossfire for much longer I would still like to see the aftermarket support for these vehicles continue to grow.
