According to the owners manual and the sticker near the front of the engine, the recommended oil for the MB 3.2L V-6 is: Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic oil. Of course you can use whatever grade oil you want. Also, the oil quantity is 8.5 quarts, not 6.1.
For those that may be interested, there is also another method some people prefer to follow when changing oil. They use the Topsider or other pump rather than crawling under the car and removing the plastic shield that covers the bottom of the engine. The pros and cons on this subject have been discussed within this forum before.
