Default Alarm system tech question

Hello all,

After reading that very informed thread about disabling the TPMS, I'm dying to know if there is a way to disable the alarm system. The fact is, I'm tired of wondering when my alarm is going to start screaming in public again because of some seemingly unrelated little problem. Is it possible to disconnect the siren without disabling other things...? Or, because it's part of a SECURITY system, is there no way to effectively isolate the sound without other casualties? Honestly, I find the stress of worrying about the alarm is not worth the minor security the sound itself actually adds in a rural setting where no one takes car alarms seriously. Maybe whatever makes the sound can be removed from the module without penalty? I know that disabling is probably unlikely, but I have to ask. Like I said, the actual SOUND of the alarm is not worth much to me. I've been driving around minus #9 fuse for no reason other than a little paranoia. Tired of not being able to lock my car properly (hatch can't lock manually) and not having overhead lights. Thanks so much for considering this question!
