If you are going to the track, there are a couple things you can do. Drop as much weight as you can.... The passenger seat is 50lbs. which will take .05 off you 1/4. Figure about .1 second for every 100lbs. dropped. Over inflate your front tires for less rolling resistance (45psi). Lower the pressure in the rear for more grip. If he is an inexperienced driver, you should be able to get him on reaction time. If it is a clear day with not much debris/bugs in the air, take the air filters out (be careful with this though.). I have beaten many a car that should have beat me. In the 1/4, the driver is a very big factor.
