The VW adapter works fine...the only issue is that the RED wire on your new stereo needs to be attached to the YELLOW wire on the adapter and the YELLOW wire on your new stereo needs to be attached to the RED wire on your adapter. The VW wiring harness plugs in perfectly to our stock radio wiring harness but the constant (YELLOW) wire is in the wrong place. If you hook it up color to color every thing will work but your memory on the new stereo ( Radio settings and Clock). Switching the wires around fixes the problem. Also you may need a VW amplified antenna adaptor as well...no modifications needed! Any stereo shop should have these 2 parts in stock!!! Hope this helps.
