Not just for leading us to a super bowl win, but what he does for kids in the city, and the city as a whole. My sister and her son lost EVERYTHING in hurricane Katrina. The Drew Brees foundation had a special day at the Saints facility a few years ago and gave away hundreds of new bicycles to katrina victims. My 8 yr old nephew received a new bike and got to meet Drew. If you haven't read his book, you should, it is a very good read, especially for a football fan. Drew put a lot of pressure on himself on and off the field...and lives up to it.
Thanks for the tip, I will pick up that book for sure. Since his days at PU, I have always thought he was a pretty good person, while attending, he volunteered and helped out with childrens organizations a lot more than many other college players. I knew he did a lot for NO after Katrina, but I had no idea it went that far. I guess that comercial I see on TV with him walking through NO and talking to everyone and being treated like a king and an old friend at the same time are true
