On one side he is measuring the actual calper, the other side he only measuring the temperature of the cover. The cover is nothing more than a shield, which will not get as hot as the caliper. I wouldn't be suprised if the actual caliper could be getting hotter since it is not getting the air circulation. Until he measures the actual caliper under the cover, I don't buy it.

Maybe he should have compared and showed us the difference in temperature of the rotors if the covers are so effective.

I agree. Logic tells me the cover holds the heat in and does not allow it to dissipate. However aluminum is a terrible insulator. I like the reduced brake dust part.
