Why driveshaft safety loops? In case of u-joint or driveshaft failure, driveshaft safety loops keep the driveshaft from whipping.
No you don't. I'll try to find my NHRA rule book but not for our cars. I've raced at Divisionals which is like a 5 state race and my car always passed tech fine.
