Trying my hand for the first time on starting a business and will need to do direct mailing. I'd appreciate if anyone can give me first-hand tips on doing this successfully.

Need info on a good source of addresses, best way to mail, and any other info on the process. A step-by-step info would be great. As i mentioned this is my first time, but have been researching online but am looking for people that could give me first hand advice.
