What is it with the "glass" on these mirrors, I have never seen the reflective coating on the outside which looks like what I polished off.
The mirror is one of the few parts I have not taken apart so I can't help there, but if you can remove the glass, I would look for a used one and pop it in. With as many of these as you see on ebay through LKQ, I would think you could find just the glass. Just a thought.
