I'm betting that the German car folks just don't know what it is. They're thinking "this guy is nuts. Just because Mercedes owned Chrysler for a while does not mean your Mopar is a Mercedes."

So I would call them back and make an appointment for my "2004 Mercedes SLK 320". When you show up, they'll figure it out.
