I tried to remove the shifter **** in my wife's crossfire (yes, we bought two the same week. lol) to inspect it- think it is cracked internally, it makes a cracking sound when shifting. Anyway, I pulled the boot and loosened the "cone shaped" nut on the **** and tried to pull it off with no luck. I didn't want to force it in case I missed something- is there anything else to remove? Thanks.
