Re: My good buddy put a bullett through his own head
I lost my lifetime best friend 6 years ago. He was 42 at the time of his death. He had hip replacement surgery a couple years earlier, and as a result of the surgery, became addicted to Oxycontin. One night, he was drinking wine while taking the Oxycontin.... He died in his sleep that night. He had a 3 year old son, and a new born that he left his wife with. It was such a senseless death at such a young age. He was not trying to commit suicide, but his actions produced the same result. There are not many days that go by that I do not still think about him. Many days, I get this feeling of anger towards him for leaving me and his family. Addictions can cause pain and suffering that long outlive the person that has the addiction.
My condolences to you and his family during this very sad time.
