Just felt that both of these could bear repeating. In addition to the destruction and subsequent replacement of your catalytic, let us not forget such items as valves, valves seats, and the like. And...since they'll have to remove the head to do it anyway...why not hedge your bets and finish the rest of the overhaul? Just pocket change for you, perhaps?
Granted, this is a worst case scenario. But, where should we draw the line? And...how are you going to know just before you've reached it?
