Re: 2006 Crossfire needs:
Here is my wish list:
1) Silver side strakes on the base coupe.
2) Introduce a few more colors on the base coupe (white, silver?).
3) Slightly different console, with real cup holders.
4) Upgrade the HVAC system ("Dual Zone" climate control doesn't mean "always luke warm on both sides of the car").
5) Rack and pinion steering gear instead of recirc ball.
6) Restyle the front clip to resemble the original concept car's (stacked headlamps on the leading edge of each fender, etc).
7) Put in a stereo system of better quality than the Kraco stuff you get at Pep Boys for $49.95.
Considering that you are getting German sports car performance and sophistication at slightly more than Mustang prices in the case of a Crossfire Coupe, is any of the above really worth complaining about? I mean, spending the money on items in my list (or yours) could mean that content is taken out of the powertrain, chassis, etc. Or, the price would go up. I figure I will live with a few faults, and enjoy real sports car performance, knowing full well that perfect cars are boring and it is often the quirks that give a car its character and flavor.
