Default Re: New owner

I made it home without any troubles, and am very impressed with the car and how it handles... on dry pavement. I especially like the interior, which I had assumed from the photos was medium grey in color. It turns out that it's dark slate gray, or black, and looks extremely good. The seats are nice, but after 850 miles during a two-day period, I was really ready to get out and stay out (my back's been giving me a lot of troubles, lately).

It started snowing very hard while I was on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but had not yet accumulated on the well-traveled lanes. There were a couple of times in Kent, Ohio when I got into parking lots that were loaded with ice, and I quickly got to see how much this car hates to be on ice.

I love the base coupe without any of the "bells and whistles." With the dealer-installed leather seats, it really feels like a sports car in a modern-day sense of the original Porsche Speedster. No gizmos, no gadgets, no extra chrome... just plain fun!

I'm not altogether sure what first gear is used for???...
