From what I know the OEM is a narrowband, however I agree that it should be before the cat only issue is they say if you put it to close to the engine the sensor could burn out because it's to hot, what I dont understand is the stock sensor never burns out, the system I bought is an AEM and it comes with a Bosch sensor from what I know the stock sensor is a Bosch also ...hrmmmm
