Is it possible to simply parallel another siren (the newer one that chirps when you lock/unlock) into the harness under the hood instead of removing the cowl and swap modules? If my memory serves me well, the replacement module mounts differently and it is a little pita to delve into the cowl area. Looks like the three wire harness comes right out into the engine bay/firewall area (please correct me if not so). If the three wires are power, ground, and signal then maybe the simple splice can allow two sirens to be present. Would the added circuitry screw up the system to the point the system fails? Will the fuse handle two sirens (original and modified one)? Finally, will the modified one chirp if spliced in with an unmodified (old) one which may be easily located in the engine compartment?
