Well I went and flipped and turned the plate so that it sealed better. I may have had it wrong in the first place, lol. I ut everything back together and let it warm up to temp, reving it so often and pumping the brakes to vary the vacuum a bit. No problems so far. Tomorrow will be the deciding factor when I go to work, but I think it may be ok. The last time I tried to do a throttle reset it acted up on me too, and it corrected when I did a battery disconnect/ system reset.... crossed fingers.

Steve, that throttle body bore sounds like a cool idea either way. Nice price for a little upgrade. Wonder if anyone has tried them before. Thanks for replying. I will update to confirm the results. I still feel like a dumbass, lol.
