Rather than repaint, and risk overspray, do you think it would be easy to implement just some white vinyl applied on areas away from heat? Assuming proper alcohol prep, of course...

Think of it as a "clear bra" for underhood...
There is a lot of heat buildup under there even when not close to the engine...worth a try I quess...I usually just mask everything off and touch up that way...old newspapers and masking tape...can cover a lot of ground....
