The CAB is attached to the ABS Pump, and as such you will need to remove the ABS pump to change the CAB module. When doing this you should disconnect the battery. Once you have replaced the module and put everything back together again the light should go away by itself - well it did in my case. It wouldn't hurt to have an OBD II fault code reader/scanner around just in case.

Have you managed to source a new CAB module? There are usually some on Ebay, some are used and some are reconditioned.

Are you having any other issues when the BAS/ESP light comes on? When mine used to come on the Cruise Control and Traction Control did not work at all. There are so many darn sensors relative to that little BAS/ESP light, I tried all the easy stuff first, then I gave in and I took it to the Stealership to have the problems diagnosed.
