Are you having any other issues when the BAS/ESP light comes on? When mine used to come on the Cruise Control and Traction Control did not work at all. There are so many darn sensors relative to that little BAS/ESP light, I tried all the easy stuff first, then I gave in and I took it to the Stealership to have the problems diagnosed.
that seems to be normal if the light is on. it just seems odd that it trips the light 3 times then goes away and car runs normal
