Default Re: Drove my dream car this afternoon!

Have to agree dinasrt. Wonder what the story was behind that? Didn't look like she had much experience with a stick at the same time something may have been mechanically wrong with the car or she was intoxicated. As well the pedals on most Cobras are very close together not spaced like a normal car. You really have to get use to that before you drive it.
You can be sure of two things, there are only two people I would let drive my car, my son and son in law and I'll be in the car when and if, don't have to worry about my wife she probably wont even ride in it. And no I promise to never, ever get a hardtop or convertible top for that matter. Went over last night and did a run thru on the car just making sure its what I wanted. Also told them a few things that need to be done before delivery, a couple of cosmetic things. When I finally get the car all that will be need to be done is swap out the wheels. It has 17" American Torque thrusts that have the spokes powder coated white. I'll be swaping those out for a set of American polished Cobra wheels. The only other things is having the side pipes ceramic coated in silver. They are done in white right now, I just like silver better. This one doesn't have stripes so down the road I'll have to decide if I want them and what color. Hopefully I'll have all this done by spring for the coming cruise season. Gonna miss the Crossfire. Its been a great car and I wish I was independently wealthy, I'd have two toys but sadly I can only afford one. By the way the Cobra color is blue, closest I can describe is a Marina Blue or and Aero Blue. The car was professionally built and has a 347/450 hp FI engine in it (punched out 302). I was kind of against the fuel injected version of this car but after driving a few of them its the smoothest and easiest to drive. From a reliability standpoint I'll be better off. We are 99% there, got my fingers crossed!
