The rear differential is the pumpkin shaped device located halfway between your rear wheels on the axle in the center of the car. When you get under the car and look up from the rear, you can not miss it. Just make sure to put blocks in front of the appropriate wheels and use the parking brake when necessary - don't want it starting to roll when half of it is in the air
