Default Re: Chrysler Max Care Warranty - Good Deal?

I cancelled the extended warranty/tire-wheel option (explained a couple of posts above) this past Monday.

The following numbers are not exact, but used to give the general idea.

$400 monthly....36 month loan payment w/o the opt. warranty
$500 monthly....36 month loan payment with opt. warranty

Price of the warranty was added to the sale price....not 2 seperate contracts.

Though the warranty was cancelled a week after signing the contract, the loan payment of $500 was still the monthly payment. The contract could not be re-written. I will be paying the extra $100 each month, but the loan will not run the full 36 months, closer to 31-32 months. So, for the next 30+ months I'll be out $100 each month, which I could use for whatever. Would rather pay the $400 each month for 36 months. I'll just have to bite the bullet, and chalk it up as a learning experience.

After reading the warranty, seems they could deny a claim if one was to violate various things. For example, adding any after market part (possibly a different CIA)..... trans went.... it's possible they could deny fixing it because of the aftermarket CIA..... not that they would, but they could, even though there is no association to either. Another possible example.... go from 255's in the rear to 275-285... that may also be a no no. Sure, one could ask before hand, but unless it's in writting, they would have the upper hand........ could be completely wrong about this, but that is the way I'm reading it.
