Default Re: Upsolute Chip on its way

OK. I got back from Philly last night around 10 and decided what better than to re-install the ECU in my xfire.

I did the following steps and will summarize the information I found.

1. Reinstall ECU. Remember to mark the cables 1,2,3,4,5 when removing.
2. Turn key to 'on' position but do not start car, let go for a couple minutes. You can hear ECU working.
3. Turn car on and let idle for 5 - 10 minutes.
4. Turn her loose.

Immediate thoughts:

I did get a custom tune from HQ in Austria and all I can say is WOW!!! I am not one to take seat of the pants or 'butt dyno' information lightly, but the difference in the car is very noticeable. The 10 minutes I had her out last night was quite enjoyable. Since some people can't feel the difference, I will attribute my results to the custom tune.

Torque: This is the most noticeable. Run through the rev's much faster. I find the sweet shift point to be about 200 - 300 RPM before fuel shutoff.

HP: It is there when you need it. It should have come from the factory like this. I have a six speed not an automatic.

All in all for $450 (shipped it there) this was the best mod I have done to a car.
