If it was dead, you could have jump started it and with some driving around it would have rehcarged if it was good. You may have needed a new battery anyway.
Good point but it still doesn't validate AutoZone just tossing his old one out. AutoZone is such a joke. The fact that you came back not even a week later and they already tossed it is outrageous. I'd do everything in my power to get my money back and STILL make sure no one goes there.
For batteries, we have stores like BatteryPlus that are outstanding for any kind of battery you might need. I'd recommend that place over any AutoZone-type establishment. I haven't had ANY luck with any car part chain.
