you make very good points, but, most of the car gurus here know, the computer will make adjustments and the car will run just fine. The difference is it running at its peak performance, especially when needed. A lot us don't use ours as daily drivers, and actually road course, drag race with them. So, peak performance is needed, thus running 93+ is necessary. I think the car will run on 89 without problems, but I prefer to know I am keeping mine in top shape and run 93 when driving, and a booster when racing.
